One of our biggest concerns starting out with travels with Gus is how to keep him comfortable and happy... do we have enough space for food? What about changing his food on him? Will he be too hot or too cold? What about other animals/snakes/spiders/etc in weird places?
We chose not to go too overboard with air conditioners and opted for fans and ice as we need them. We've done test trips, but mostly in the US where we understood the environment. And it's worked out fine with only a little sleep lost snuggling him in our bed on cold nights instead of in his own bed.
With all the concerns, watching him run crazily on the beach at our first stop, chasing after birds wearing himself out and barking like a mad dog ("bird brain" as we call it), I know he's going to have the time of his life too. And I know we'll do everything we can to make him happy.
